Thank You All Ever So Much For Making The 2008 Furniture Market One of The BEST Markets Ever For Our Company
The retailers who work the hardest, shop most thoroughly and plan more aggressively are the stores or chains that continue to grow in these challenging times. Conversely, the manufacturers who came out of market with a strong 8 on a scale of 10 were those who offered values, closeouts, specials, exciting entrees and overall went after the business. Emmet summarized the market succinctly when he said "It's no secret after 50 years I'm amazed how the old saying "the harder I work the luckier I get" exemplifies the leaders both retail and wholesale in the furniture industry. I love the professionalism of management in these firms who strive harder in "rough waters" to lead their operations to the increased business we'll share once the slowdown reverses." We came away with a sense of being one of the luckiest sales organizations in the world to be representing great lines to the best retailers in our industry!
More and more markets are a mere extension of a 12 month marriage with major dealers. Buyers tell us what they need. Alert managements strive to execute these projects and together we grow. Without customer's assistance and loyalty we would have the wrong product at the wrong time probably knocking on the wrong doors. In spite of the economic turmoil, our factories seem to be prospering, I think in large part because they listen to the customer and more importantly, they respond. If your major factories are not paying attention to your needs, give us a call at 800-391-2166 and tell us what you need. We're proud of the fact that our major factories continue to innovate and grow.
Because of you Furniture Sales of Mid-America again won the most prestigious awards in 2007 with Ligo Products (shown here) & Progressive Furniture. These were awarded at the sales meetings at the April High Point market.
Thanks again for your confidence in us and the friendship that makes this business so much fun. Mike, Emmet, Chris, and Huey
