Ligo Products
Ligo (pronounced Leego) is the best quality, promotionally priced
wood dinette resource in America. The American based Ligo
Products, as well as a Bangkok, Thailand Fancy Wood plant are
owned by Dr. S.S. Lee and his family. The 500,000 square
foot Fancy Wood manufacturing plant in Bangkok has the largest
payroll of any employer in Thailand and ships quality product
throughout the world including Japan and Europe. Fancy
Wood formerly supplied Farmhouse table sets for major world dinette
companies. In 1990, Ligo Products was formed to sell direct
to retailers and wholesalers. Ligo, the assembly and distribution
arm based right outside Chicago, has already expanded into a
200, 000 square foot facility with plans to add another 100,000
square feet as necessary.
This growth has been fueled by an almost fanatical adherence
to strict quality standards in our products and a real desire
to serve our customers. Some of the features that distinguish
Ligo Products from the numerous look alike dinette sets are as
follows:
- Our Products are made from Rubberwood, which is a plantation
grown hard wood. Trees are harvested only after the latex
sap production declines due to aging. The area is then
replanted.
- Our Chairs are constructed with double stretchers where similarly
priced chairs have only one stretcher. Every juncture
is metal pinned with screws countersunk at key intersections
for additional stability.
- The legs on a majority of tables have 3 1/4: thick legs cut
from solid wood blocks. These legs are about 1/4" to
1/2" thicker than similarly priced tables.
- The beauty of the wood is evident in the table tops. Intricate
sanding combined with layers of natural lacquer and sealant enhance
the set's appeal in the customer's eyes. It is easy to take
care of by the use of damp wash rag and occasionally some furniture
polish (i.e. Pledge).
Ligo's business has exploded over the last 3 years due to awesome
product designs at very aggressive price points. Many of
the new offerings in contemporary dining, tile top sets, and
junior dining sets are retailing extremely well. Ligo offers
a lot of look at a very modest price.
